Une longue distance tells the story of a struggle for survival with supernatural overtones, in which inner demons become the main character’s travelling companions on a cruise along the Spanish coast. 　　By weaving links between characters and eras, the real and the beyond, the film will evoke the question of mourning and heritage in the context of a world prone to disenchantment. Drawing on his own personal story, Guillaume Lillo widens the focal point to broader social questioning of unemployment, excesses of consumer society and excesses of an intractable system.
