Those three couples and their three stories seem to have no connection except that they have the same love problem, which is reflected in the non-acceptance of differences by society. A couple in Sarajevo is faced with the problem when society doesn’t approve of them in relation to the difference of their religions as well as their life together. A couple in Warsaw is facing the problem of misunderstanding and non-acceptance of a same-sex love relationship. A couple in Berlin faces the problem of society’s disapproval in relation to the love between a migrant and a member of the native population. All three of these stories end tragically, but the film also offers an alternative ending.
